Jess and i had a wet but fantastic time at the snowys.

The trip started out with Jess hitting a roo just min. from our first stop over, in getting to Thredbo. Luckly no damage. He just bounced off our car.

Got to Thredbo and the concert friday arvo and quickly go drenched.

Left the mountain early because I was so cold and needed to get dry. old fart i am.
on the way down the mountain slamed on the breaks to avoid a car sliding side ways around the corner. It was a close one as a few min sooner and we would have been a tangled mess of metal. The girl in the car was lucky. she avoided the drop on her side and hit the bank instead. we went to her and helped and all was ok. thank god.

Saturday started out looking as if the rain was staying but the sun came out and it was beautiful.

Jess and I took a break from the fab. music to take a chair lift to Eagles Nest and then did some hiking. Only a short one. We have never left the concert before but took a leaf out of chele's book when she said she had done it last year. Thanks Chele. I was worth it. Next year we might try and get to Thredbo a few days early and take in the sights. I love trecking.

And what a surprise when we got back to the concert.

Our very own JAY COLLIE was there up on stage doing a fantastic job of hosting the afternoon/night section of the festival. And what a great job he did with his usual good wit. Even having to stop the show at one time because a mud fight that had been going one for some time was getting out of hand.

Jay is certanly getting around.

And as for the concet it self. If you haven't been and you can get there some time it is well worth it. and the venue and surrounding area is just Gods country. I soo love the hight country.

Well thats it from me. talk to you all soon. Congrads to Jay for a good job and next is. Off to Fiji..... cant wait.

Kathy

AWESOME!!! Sounds like you and Jess had a fantastic time!!!! Jealous!
It all sounds so beautiful up there....except for the mud. hahaha. I will have to try and get there next year.

Bad luck with the roo. Glad no damage. Lucky you guys and the girl are all ok and nobody was hurt while on the way down the mountain!!! I bet it was so scary!

What a treat to see the gorgeous scenery then come back to see Jay doing some hosting! He surely is getting around. Good on him! smile.gif

Well have fun and be SAFE over at Fiji! Lucky you! Can't wait to hear all about it.
Glad the Snowy's was everything you wanted!
